In 2025, two Judges will retire from the Fifth District Court of Appeals, taking 66 years of appellate experience with them. It is critical that the voters elect candidates who have the expertise and experience that are needed on the bench. Having been a practicing attorney for almost 31 years with a focus on appellate law, my appellate experience is extensive.

 

It includes having:

• Worked at the Fifth District Court of Appeals as a staff attorney to the Hon. John W. Wise for 12 years.

• Assisted with the researching and drafting of over 1,000 appellate court opinions on issues of law in civil, criminal, and original actions. 

• Practiced law privately for eight years, in the litigation/appellate section, with the law firm of Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. in Canton, Ohio.

• Established the Fifth District Court of Appeals appellate mediation program.

 

I currently serve as the court's mediation attorney. I am one of twenty-five attorneys in the state of Ohio certified in appellate law by the Ohio State Bar Association.

I recognize the importance of this court to the residents of the Fifth District as it’s the last stop for most cases in the litigation process. If elected judge I will strive to maintain the court’s status as one of the most efficient appellate courts in the state of Ohio fairly and impartially serving all who come before it.
